Ed King, by David Guterson.

Even though this got poor pre-pub. reviews, I just couldn’t resist trying it.  I learn my lesson (Don’t Believe Reviews).  I’m not saying this is the best book ever written, or even necessarily a great read but I enjoyed it… Since it’s a contemporary reinterpretation of Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex, you pretty much know what’s going to happen, but it was fascinating to see how Guterson does it… in beautifully written prose.
